Another Painting & Vino Session with my wife. We enjoy going out and doing these together. A very nice and fun way to spend some quality time together and unplug from technology for a few hours. I enjoy picking up … Continue reading →
It sure has been a whirlwind of a holiday season. I hope everyone has been able to enjoy this festive time of year with family and friends. I’ve been a bit behind in being able to make updates here. Last … Continue reading →
Had a great anniversary date night with my wife the other night. We decided that we wanted to do another painting and vino session. Always a lot fun and very relaxing. Work has been keeping me very busy lately (which … Continue reading →
Last week my wife and I enjoyed a nice date night out and went to a “painting and vino” session. The painting for the evening was “Japanese Maple” and the instructor walked the class through a few basics of painting … Continue reading →
So the other weekend I had the chance to go to the Massive Black Workshop held at Manhattan Beach Studios. It has taken me over a week to decompress and I’m sure that I will continue to pull knowledge and … Continue reading →
Just signed up to go to the MB Workshop coming up, December 5-8. Looking forward to multiple days of awesome demonstrations, mind exploding inspiration and more learning and skill development in a couple of days than I might get in a year. I’ve wanted to go to one of these workshops for the last few years, but they have never been close enough to home to allow me to go.

I recently got an an iPad and I have to say that I am really loving this digital device. I am able to draw and paint on it, read books, surf the web, watch videos, listen to music, take pictures and videos, take notes, play games etc. It is crazy how many things can be contained and done with one device in your hands. Not to mention how portable it is. There are a few things that I wish it did better, but at this point that’s just being a little too nitpicking. All in all I am a very happy digital nerd right now.
Hopefully this post will show up correctly with the self portrait, all done using the iPad. Drawing done using the Autodesk Sketchbook Pro App and a Wacom Bamboo pen. Blog post using the WordPress App for the iPad.
I’m up, bright and early so I can make my way up to Hollywood to attend a 2 day workshop hosted by Gnomon School of VFX (Gnomon Live!). It’s going to have 10 instructors and be full of all sorts of awesome learning and inspiration. Looking forward to hearing so many talented folks talk about their work and process while being surrounded by like minded artist and maybe a few new friends.
I’m sure there will be more updates and pictures to follow over the next few days.
